On Saturday 24 October at 16:00, you are invited to a concert with the OTIUM String Quartet. The quartet was established in the spring of 2024 and consists of four musicians with extensive experience as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral musicians.
Saturday 24th October at 19.00, Dora Thorhallsdottir is coming to the Main Hall with the show FØKK. A humorous and relatable show about getting tired of adapting, starting to speak up, and feeling that it might be time to say «fuck it».

On Tuesday 27th October at 18.30, Espen Bille-Larsen will be giving a lecture on self-preparedness at Ål library. Here you will receive advice on how you can be better prepared should a crisis or undesirable event occur.
On Thursday 29 October at 7.00 pm, Brageteateret will be performing *Svendsens Catering* in the Main Auditorium – a black comedy by Kyrre Andreassen about defeat, family life, jealousy and an indomitable optimist with varying degrees of self-awareness.
Lars Monsen is coming to Ål culture centre with a brand new wilderness show. Audiences are invited to a powerful and personal performance, with tales from a rich life as an expedition adventurer and outdoorsman at its heart.
Saturday 31st October at 16:00, Østerlide is coming to Operalåven. The trio's music is based on folk tunes that are given new expressions through vocals, guitar, glockenspiel and percussion.
Thursday 5 November at 18:00, a joint concert will be held in the Main Hall featuring students from the Norwegian Academy of Music, pupils from Ål School of Music and the Arts, and teachers. The concert concludes a week of ensemble playing, teaching and musical exploration.
Thursday 12 November 2026, Jan Davidsen, former leader of the Norwegian Association of Senior Citizens, is coming to Storesalen in Ål kulturhus. The lecture starts at 12:00 and is about how the local community can become a good place to grow older.
